EGO's
Starting of EGO's
Years ago WMU was combined with "Senior Class Celebration"
that didn't last long. Between Dr. Hamilton and Mrs. Long
the name became Emmaus Golden Oldies (EGO's).
The EGO's meet the first Wednesday of every month except
July and August. During our meeting we have lunch where
everyone brings a dish. After our meal we will have the Pastor
give a lesson, or we invite someone within the community to
talk about different programs.
Ex: New Kent Sheriffs Office, Social Services, Medicare Provider.
EGO's is opened to ALL seniors.
You do not have to be a member of Emmaus to be a part of EGO's.
Mission Work
We take up money each month to contribute to our mission work.
We adopt a child in need from Social Services.
This child receives school supplies, birthday gifts,
Easter gifts, and Christmas gifts.
We give to the New Kent Christmas Mother and Hope Tree.
We have an Emergency Fund of $500. This will help a member of
EGO's who may be in need.
